Aten, one of my first neko-boys. I've changed the design of his ears, instead of them being on top of his head I put them on the side more like a cross between human ears and cat ears....I like it better. *shrugs* lol
Inked and colored from a sketch I did a while ago...
Physical Description/Details:: Blood-red eyes with slitted pupils. Bright Orange and Red, shoulder-length hair. Dark tanned skin with dark brown "tiger-striped" on his cheeks, down his back, and down his thighs. Large feline-like ears and a long orange cat-tail with stripes. Claws on his hands and feet; and sharp fangs.
Personality:: A rude and tempermental trouble maker
Brief Bio:: Aten was found wandering in the forest when he was just 2 or 3 years old. He was taken in and named by Farren ,the panther-hybrid that found him. Then he came to live with Farren and his 2 sons, Darren and Fallon, in their village.
Because Aten's bright orange hair and dark skin was such a contrast to the dark hair and pale skin of the residents of the panther village, he was treated as an outsider by everybody but Farren and his two sons. Aten became especially close to the oldest son Darren.
The village was well known for training excellent bodyguards and mercinaries and many of the wealthy people from far and wide sought them out to hire them. Many of the young men and women trained dilligently so that they might be hired or bought by some wealthy nobel for protection. In the village it is considered a great honor.
Aten asked Farren to train him for this also and the panther reluctantly agreed. Though Farren was skeptical at first he was surprised to discover that despite Aten's small frame and usual lack of attention, he was quite a fierce and capable fighter. He was quick and light on his feet and he picked up his lessons quickly. When he took the exam to become a professional bodyguard when he was only 15 he passed with flying colors! However Farren forbade him from leaving the village to take a job until he was at least 17.
When he was first found Aten became fiercly attatched to "Big-Brother" Darren. He followed him everywhere like a shadow and Darren couldn't help but indulge the cute little kitty whenever he wanted something. Over time their attatchment became more than just "brotherly affection" though. Aten was first to start insisting on a "deeper" relationship, stealing kisses whenever he could. Eventually Darren also gave in to his own desire and their relationship quickly went from "brotherly" to lovers. Aten is very possessive of Darren and he wouldn't hesitate to kill somebody to protect him.
^__^ Thanks! I've had Aten a while now but I never really gave him a backstory before now. lol

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
